Actually I gotta praise Capcom on that, they could have just made it a different color from everyone elses fireballs but they went the extra mile and made it fire from a unique spot.

I'm talking Street Fighter though. Obviously there were games that did it first but as far as I know everyone except for Juri shoots from their hands.

Oh right.
In that case, technically, Charlie/Nash from the Alpha series could throw a Sonic Boom from his foot in one of his supers.
If only he could have taught Guile that.

Street Fighter Alpha series. It's a prequel to SF2, technically.
Charlie was a best friend and partner of Guile.
Charlie/Nash is the same character, they just went for different names in the US/Japan because they called him Charlie in Guiles US SF2 ending. Recently they decided to combine the two names into one, making his whole name Charlie Nash as of SF4 and the comics.

A fighter's weapon is their body. There's no reason why projectiles have to be exclusively projected from hands.
