I had to wait till 23 weeks for finally feel baby on a regular basis. I'm so excited about it because now I can communicate with him a little bit. We played what I call "kick poke" last night - he kicks, I give a gentle poke back. I dunno if he was encouraged by this - but today he's wanted to kick all day so far. I got a book with storys for bump for his papa to read to him, because his dad has a really great reading voice too. I'm hoping this will help us start to bond before he gets here.
I touch my belly all the time. I feel like baby and I are so close yet so far away! It’s my way of connecting and at times self assurance that baby is there and ok. 🥰

@ at around 8 weeks, I was able to see the baby’s heart beat on the monitor. I am almost 12 weeks now. I should be able to hear the heart beat at my next appointment next week.
I am 20 weeks today and I haven't been sleeping well which is making relaxing difficult. I'm going to take a nap and then check out the meditation. I touch my belly constantly and have been reading out loud since I'm a house wife so I don't talk very often during the day unless I remember to talk.
I was really stressed because I wasn’t able to sleep well at night either, I’ve noticed I sleep better when I started listening to Christian worship music throughout the night . Give it a try it might help 😊

Not sure if you like ASMR but that really helps me relax and fall asleep. I'll be 21 weeks in a few days, starting to feel the aches and pains lol I just got a pregnancy pillow so hopefully that helps
Hi, I'm 18 weeks and have a problem with sleeping too. Warm milk and magnesium right before sleep time is helping me a lot, there are still nights that doesn't help, but most times it helps me fall asleep. I drink lactose free milk since I'm lactose intolerant but idk if that makes any difference.

I left 2 marriages lost so much, and it's all because I loved myself more. You are lucky to have a blessing in you as so many that I know of are still struggling to have one. For Muslims only: number 2 is Quran for us. Read the whole Quran while you’re pregnant with your own voice. This will make the baby build a strong tie with the Quran and becomes easy after birth.
The first feelings are usually pretty light - like butterflies wings - just little flutters. How early you feel things also has a lot to do with the position of the placenta. Next time you go to your doctor’s appointment ask them to check where the placenta is positioned. And it will come! :) Though I know it’s sometimes hard to wait.

Hey Kim! Many things like placenta placement and body composition can affect when you feel baby and when baby can feel your touch. But don't let that stop you! Touch is good for both you and baby - even when you are still early in your pregnancy because it helps you feel connected - and that is ALWAYS a good thing! 💖
No baby’s don’t hear sounds at 18 weeks all they hear is there mommy voice and heartbeat 💓 around 20 weeks and so on then they can hear the outside noise and sounds smh 🤦♀️ my daughter first time hearing a blender because she wanted a smoothie and she started bouncing around and moving lol 😂 I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time ❤❤so cute

This makes me think about surrogate… the carrier woman who is gestating merely for money … obviously the ideal way is for the biological mother to carry the baby but I’m thinking if there’s a way to prepare the carrier to do it in a lovable way to minimize trauma for the baby when he/she is taken from his/her mother as she is his/hers for all he knows
I think about these questions too. For me, the answer is love. Love makes every bump on the road of life easier. It has this wonderful cushioning effect - which like me, you have probably experienced in your own life. The surrogate moms that I have met are heart-open women doing it both for the income and the impact. Life is a beautiful gift. And energy knows no bounds - so the child’s eventually parents can also do bonding exercises with this new baby even both they hold baby in their arms. And who knows? Maybe God or this baby’s soul chose this alternative path these parents. So it might not be as disruptive as we think.
That’s a great question!! The loudest sounds they hear are ‘white noise’ sounds from inside your body. Mainly the sound of your digestion and the sound of the placenta whooshing. The placenta sounds a lot like the ocean waves on a white noise machine. If you have never heard it - ask at your next prenatal appointment- because it’s really cool! And then on top of those sounds they hear sounds from their outside environment- and the one that is the most common is your voice. Much 💗 for your journey!

But when I hear your voice it makes me think of the sahm that forgot how to talk like an adult to other adults when they’re face to face. I used to do this. It was an adjustment to not talk to adults like this. But when making videos no one is interacting back to you so it makes a lot of sense plus 20 years ! I get it. You should make a separate page reading kids books and making craft ideas for at home. You’re definitely a pot of gold. Super common! If it’s keeping you up - take her for a walk. Walking around usually puts them to sleep and then you can sleep too.
@Birth-Bliss walking or moving around works like a charm. She now moves about more during the day and at reasonable hours during the night lol

I'm 19 week pregnant
No baby’s don’t hear sounds at 18 weeks all they hear is there mommy voice and heartbeat 💓 around 20 weeks and so on then they can hear the outside noise and sounds smh 🤦♀️ my daughter first time hearing a blender because she wanted a smoothie and she started bouncing around and moving lol 😂 I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time ❤❤so cute

Can you talk to your doctor or midwife? An ultrasound might be helpful.
This makes me think about surrogate… the carrier woman who is gestating merely for money … obviously the ideal way is for the biological mother to carry the baby but I’m thinking if there’s a way to prepare the carrier to do it in a lovable way to minimize trauma for the baby when he/she is taken from his/her mother as she is his/hers for all he knows
I think about these questions too. For me, the answer is love. Love makes every bump on the road of life easier. It has this wonderful cushioning effect - which like me, you have probably experienced in your own life. The surrogate moms that I have met are heart-open women doing it both for the income and the impact. Life is a beautiful gift. And energy knows no bounds - so the child’s eventually parents can also do bonding exercises with this new baby even both they hold baby in their arms. And who knows? Maybe God or this baby’s soul chose this alternative path these parents. So it might not be as disruptive as we think.
Don’t babies in the womb only hear white noises?
That’s a great question!! The loudest sounds they hear are ‘white noise’ sounds from inside your body. Mainly the sound of your digestion and the sound of the placenta whooshing. The placenta sounds a lot like the ocean waves on a white noise machine.
If you have never heard it - ask at your next prenatal appointment- because it’s really cool!
And then on top of those sounds they hear sounds from their outside environment- and the one that is the most common is your voice. Much 💗 for your journey!

@imarounddrivinglessons367 Agree. My ex-husband had a deep voice and constantly talked to our daughter. She was screaming bloody murder when she came out and as soon as he spoke she stopped INSTANTLY. She KNEW his voice.

@ 😂😂😂 I knew it ! that makes a lot of sense. I’m still gonna watch your videos cuz they’re informative. But when I hear your voice it makes me think of the sahm that forgot how to talk like an adult to other adults when they’re face to face. I used to do this. It was an adjustment to not talk to adults like this. But when making videos no one is interacting back to you so it makes a lot of sense plus 20 years ! I get it. You should make a separate page reading kids books and making craft ideas for at home. You’re definitely a pot of gold. As abrasive as I am, I just kinda call what I see and wana know why or mention it.
